When new home automation products are released we install them in
our test-bed environment to become highly familiar with them, and to creatively explore
how well and extensively they may be integrated with other home automation components
in an automated home environment.
When a new home automation product supersedes an previous model, the previous home
automation product becomes available for sale as an "ex-demo" item. Such ex-demo
home automation products are are sold as if they were second hand units: without warranty,
and typically at half normal selling price. They are in good condition because our test bed
environment is not a show room. We also have some used equipment in very good condition.
